Murphx have reported the following Major Service Outage in the Manchester area –
The Rochdale area is currently being effected by a massive fibre break. This has effected 46 exchanges in Manchester, Lancashire and West Yorkshire areas: Prestwich, Radcliffe, Whitefield, Broughton, Cheetham Hill, Bollington, Congleton, Macclesfield, Sutton, Mossley, Stalybridge, Bramhall, Poynton, Stepping Hill, Ramsbottom, Tottington, Turton, Bury, Heywood, Littleborough, Rochdale, Shaw, Denton, Hyde, Ashton, Oldham, Saddleworth, Marple, Stockport, Woodley, Bacup, Todmorden, Buxton, Chapel En Le Frith, Disley, New Mills, Tideswell, Whaley Bridge, Calder Valley, Halifax, Hebden Bridge, Illingworth, Middleton, Flockton, Huddersfield, Kirkburton.
Openreach suspect that trams works 200 metres away from Oldham have damaged eight of their cables. A BT engineer remains on site where he continues his testing in order to confirm this.

Matthew Buck Please note that the MSO in Rochdale has now been cleared. If any end users are still experiencing issues with their connection, please ask them to reboot their router, if does not return service, please contact the provisioning team and we will log a fault with the ISP.
