30/07/13 - BT Wholesale MBORC Declaration (Openreach delays)

Due to severe weather conditions - flooding, storms, lightning strikes - BT Wholesale have declared a MBORC (matter beyond our reasonable control) effective from Monday 29th July until further notice.

Area's effected by the MBORC are:

  • West Central Scotland
  • West Yorkshire
  • Humber
  • Lancashire
  • Birmingham & Black Country
  • Stoke & Chester
  • Newport Severnside
  • Aylesbury
  • Romford
  • Northern Ireland
  • North East Scotland
  • South West Scotland
  • Central Scotland
  • South East Scotland
  • Cumbria
  • Derby & Nottingham
  • Leicester
  • Coventry
  • Northampton
  • Swindon
  • Peterborough
  • Southend
  • Cambridge & Chelmsford
  • Luton
  • East Downs

BT Openreach are directing resources to the above areas in order to resolve issues relating to weather damage and the MBORC will be lifted as soon as resource levels stabilise.

BT Wholesale have warned that provisioning time may be delayed during this period and they are doing everything they can to progress cases.

We will provide you further updates as soon as possible.

Update: 5th August 2013

In line with BT Openreach, we are pleased to confirm that MBORC was lifted in the following four areas at 16.00 on Thursday 1 August 2013.

  • Belfast – nb MBORC still remains in the Province
  • Lancashire
  • Luton
  • Stoke and Chester

The MBORC still remains in place for the other areas.
